Humber River Mediation

Services and Connections for Families in Transition

Every family, every couple, every individual is unique. Your separation agreements and intergenerational plans can reflect that.

Mediation provides the space for you to talk about what is important to you, and why. It can offer new understanding and peaceful stability.

Separation and Divorce Mediation

Services and Connections for Every Stage of Your Separation
Couples

Couples who need to mediate property division, child support, spousal support and parenting plans can walk away with something called a Mediation Summary Report that can be turned into a legal agreement through your respective lawyers.

Parenting plan mediation is child-focused with an option for child inclusive mediation. It is up to you to decide at any time if your child’s voice is included in the mediation process.

Individuals

At Humber River Mediation, individuals can get 1:1 support with items such as managing conflict with their ex-spouse or co-parent, organizing and gathering the correct information and documents, and consulting with the right professionals.

If you have children, mediation allows parenting plans to be specific, focus on healthy homes, and inspire a spirit of working together. Legal and court processes focus on the idea of two sides, maintaining or fighting for a position, and is often more combative, stressful and damaging. And, mediation is usually a fraction of the price.

Individuals can get support or divorce coaching with items such as managing conflict with their spouse, organizing and gathering the correct information and documents, and consulting with the right professionals.

Services for Families in Transition

Families in transition can go through change with respect, create new plans, and acheive peace and stability.

Mediation: Separation and Divorce

Mediation is about facilitating effective and constructive communication, so you can develop an agreement that fits your particular needs. If you have children, it can help you learn strategies to use in the future so you can work out your own parenting plans as they change, with minimal professional help.

Divorce Conflict Support

A divorce guide is your support person. They have divorce process knowledge and can help you make sense of what sometimes feels like a messy or chaotic situation.

Intergenerational Mediation (IM)

We need to adapt to changes in family circumstances that can come with aging. We need to put plans in place, and families can have trouble talking about that. It can help to bring everyone involved together to listen, discuss, and through understanding create new plans.

IM Conflict Support

You may need individual support navigating conflict or difficult conversations with siblings, aging parents, adult children or other family members, caregivers or professionals around issues like safety, living arrangements, caregiving plans, and more. Our 1:1 sessions can help you create a path forward.
